The universe will be restored to balance once again. The system will find a new Home, or should I say Home Theater. With one Extra Step- Salvage the Built in monitor, keyboard and trackpad and Convert them into wireless Peripherals if possible. Obviously I'm not about to sell my first ever gaming system, too attached to this one So now I have a decent gaming desktop and a dead gaming laptop with a fully working GTX 1080, 16gb of RAM, a motherboard with an LGA-1151 socket and an upgradeable MXM 3.0b slot and a 1440p 120hz g-sync panel. I managed to get my hands on an RTX 3070 at a somewhat reasonable price("only" 20% above the MSRP here, that's a bloody steal) and built an ATX system around it, salvaging a core i9-9900kf I had lying around(which was also used briefly in the laptop with a modded BIOS) and all the m.2 storage I had shoved into it. This method checks the power settings on your computer and prompts you to change power settings, if they are not compatible. Another way to connect to Remote Desktop is by using IP Address of the computer. The system was in dire need of an upgrade to stay relevent, only problem was the MXM upgrade path is a complete joke at this point One I didn't catch up on back in 2016 when I purchased the system. The Name of a Computer is required to connect to a computer from a Remote Location. I could see where this was going, the 1080 fell below the baseline specs of the new consoles and had no ray tracing capabilities whatsoever. Its GTX 1080 was coming up short for fluid 1440p gaming -Cyberpunk runs like garbage on pascal,AC Valhalla couldn't hold 30fps in fjornberg unless I overclocked the card or dropped to 1080p with sharpening. The laptop was purchased during the college days, where there was a use case for it given the narrow desk spaces in the dorm room, and its semi-portablilty was an added bonus. After the CPU in my clevo laptop died during a (second) delidding attempt, I decided it was finally time to say goodbye to it and transition into the desktop gaming space.
